Week 8 Inspections, exchanges, and quarantine

 This week was fun. We definitely stayed busy, and has lots of fun. Of course the week started off with p day. It was fun, we balled of course, dropped of some dry cleaning and had a lesson with an awesome guy named Joe. The lesson was super awesome, and the spirit was very strong. He has met with some missionaries before but we re taught him the Restoration. Tuesday was kind of crazy. For most of the morning we did nothing because our whole apartment was sick. Here's the deal though half of our zone was quarantined, so we were really worried we would suffer the same fate. However Elder Larsen (a roomate), and I tested but we both got negative so no quarantine. Anyway we mostly just visited some people and had dinner with the Adam's a great family in the ward. After dinner we had a lesson and their kids were actually crazy. We were teaching the plan of salvation and they were like throwing our puzzle everywhere. It was fun though I have a secret handshake with each of them. Not much happened Wednesday, we had mentoring, and went to an elders quorum activity. However we went to a Bible study that our friend Joe runs. We ended up being the only ones there, but it was so awesome. Thursday was exchanges. I went with Elder Larsen, and Elder Martin went with Elder Peterson. It was a fun day. We started with cleaning the apartment for inspections, we passed those with flying colors by the way. Anyway right as personal study started this Lady called and the whole apartment was listening to Elder Larsen listen to this lady ask for our church to give her bunk beds and then she proceeded to bash us so that was fun. Anyway we started the day helping Linda with her leaves, then she took us to KFC, after that we had a lesson, and visited people. Overall good day. Most of Friday was zone council so that was fun. Anyway Saturday we served at taught the Christie's who gave us a 3d printed Spiderman head which was super cool. Sunday was pretty normal for church we had the primary program, did family history and taught a lesson. Overall this week was fun, and exhausting. I hope you all have a great week. Week 6 Happy Halloween

  This week was awesome! Not much rain surprisingly but it was still fun. My week started with p day of course, and like last week we played ball the whole day, I'm still bad. The week started with exchanges. It was super fun, and cool to be able to learn from my ZL. The cool part about it is he is from my stake back home in Arizona. Anyway during the exchange we taught a super cool guy named Rusty. We taught him the Restoration, and had a good lesson. Overall the exchange was fun, and I learned a lot. The next day was zone conference. Zone conference is basically a time for us to get trained by our mission president, the tech specs, and the APs. Is was such an awesome experience, and I definitely felt the spirit. We talked a lot about the Restoration and the Book of Mormon. Also we had PMG trivia, and me and my comp won one round and got prizes. After that Thursday and Saturday were pretty much the same old same old. Bike or drive around. Week 102 Mission Update

 Week 102 Mission Update 9/2/2024 Hey guys I figured I should write an email, seeing as I only have one month left. Last time I wrote I was in Brownsville and I had Elder Lash as my companion. Since then transfers have happened...and alot since that.  The rest of my transfer with Elder Lash was good we worked hard and saw the hand of the Lord in our work. We were able to share the restored gospel with lots of people, but whether they act on it or not is up to them. We had lots of fun P days and I got to live with one of my past companions for his last transfer. One P day we went to this place called blue pool it was crazy but good. We have been teaching some cool people and helping them come closer to their Savior. Paul is still on track to getting dunked which is hype.  Then I got transfer calls and I am staying in Brownsville for my last transfer. I am getting a new companion named Elder Palmer. Me and him had a blast. We worked hard and experienced alot....

Elder Barker - First Week!

 Logan was set apart as a full time missionary last Sunday September 18, 2022 by our Stake President in our home. It was a very special and spiritual experience. Our home has definitely benefited from the Spirit that accompanies a full time missionary. Home MTC is wonderful and a blessing to missionary and family. Here is his first letter: First Week! Hello, This first week has been great! It has taken a while to get used to the missionary standards, but I'm getting there. I was able to meet my companion and district on Monday. My companion is so awesome and we get along great. My district is also awesome, and super fun. You know home MTC has its perks, like getting to spend lots of time with my family, before I head our for 2 years, but 7 hours of zoom every day gets pretty tiring.
