Week 9 Transfers, panda, and dead fish

Logan.barker@missionary.org

This week went by so fast! Every day flew by. At this point I have been in the field for a whole transfer, and been set apart for two months, crazy right. It feels like just yesterday I was hopping on my first online MTC zoom class. Anyway, as I'm sure you all know Monday is p day, and guess what, I played basketball, I know, this week I  decided to be a little different. Let me tell you guys though usually Monday are the tough days, but on the mission it's Tuesdays. After a super chill and slow p day you have to hop right back into the action. Tuesday started with mentoring again, then we had another lesson with Alan. He is doing great, this time we almost had him committed to come to church. After that we had service that canceled on us, and then a bunch of visits. After dinner we had a lesson with the family that has the crazy kids again, this time they were all asleep, so it wasn't bad. Wednesday we had a lesson with Ernie a progressing 9 year old. Afterword we got to play badminton with him, it's a decently fun sport. Then we had a lesson with our newest member Abby, she has a great testimony. After that it was Bible study with Joe again, it is always a great experience. Thursday was a pretty easy day, the main event was panda express with Linda. She is a hilarious old lady who loves panda. Friday was visits, we also found someone new, (His name is James, and he was Logan's first street contact. He was on a motorcycle and his companion said it was his turn, so Logan told him who they were and asked him if he wanted to hear a message about Jesus Christ, and James said "yes!" He was a little surprised and wasn't quite expecting that, but they have an appointment this week with him) but at the end of the day was transfers. Luckily Elder Martin and I are both staying, and I got an awesome package from my parents. Anyway Saturday we had a lesson with Debbie, where we convinced her to come to our special stake conference with Elder Bednar, after that we had a lesson with Treva where we played bean boozled after, of course I got the worst one dead fish. Sunday was the stake conference. I got to see Elder Bednar, when he spoke I felt the spirit so strongly. He is an apostle, and this church is true, never be afraid to reach out to your Savior. Always strive to be a little better each day, improve one percent each day, so in a year you will be 365 percent better. Anyways it was a great week filled with great spiritual experiences, and fun times. I miss you all and wish you the best this week. Don't be afraid to reach out, I love hearing from you guys.

P.S Elder Bednar invited us to say a prayer this week only being grateful and showing gratitude to our God. Don't ask for anything just say thanks, so I extend the same invitation to you.
