Week 20 Basketball Games!
Logan.Barker@missionary.org
Hey guys, this week was a pretty good week. On Monday I went golfing for the first time. We played best ball which means whoever hits the best shot, is the one we play. As a group we were able to complete 9 holes for par. Wednesday was Elder Hamblin's birthday, so we were able to throw him a party it was so fun. Also the lessons we taught that day we also fun. We played badminton and exploding kittens, with Ernie, that was super fun. We also got to have a great talk with Alan, and he gave us a vegetable tray. Anyway Wednesday night, we went and saw a basketball game. It was so fun, we went and saw a members son play, and the Dad lost his voice, so it was a pretty hype game. Friday we had zone council. Our stake president came and told us about the stake goals and stuff like that. He wants us in the background of members lives 2 times a day, because that will help them trust us more, and that will hopefully result in referrals. So moving forward we are going to be working on being in the background of members lives. On Saturday, we had exchanges with the other Elders in our apartment. During the exchange I got to help build a house, and teach a super promising investigator. At night we went to a restaurant called Momijis. It is a sushi restaurant, and honestly I don't know how I even agreed to go there. Anyway it went just like I thought it would. I almost threw up, it was bad, I don't even know why I can't handle it, but wow that was rough. The highlight of the week was Sunday. We got 2 of our friends at church! One of them was Debbie, when we asked her about it after the meeting, she said that she felt the spirit, and she loved it! This church is true, and I know it. The spirit is undeniable, and this is our Saviors church. The sacrament is such a blessing, that every week we can reflect, and promise to do better. I love my Savior with all my heart, and am so very grateful for his atoning sacrifice for all of us!!! I miss you all and hope you have a great week. Feel free to reach out to me, I love hearing from you guys.
