Week 95 Mission Update!

 Week 95 July8-July14, 2024

  July 16, 2024

Hey guys! I figured it was about time for another mission update!

I think in my last email I was still in Salem so I'll start there. I am in Brownsville now, I just started my second transfer here so it's going pretty good! It's kinda funny that I'm back in Brownsville because I am in the same district as my first area. Brownsville is a pretty small town, our area is pretty big so we cover lots of small towns, the plus side however is it is super pretty out here it is just country and farmlands for miles! The work out here is actually going pretty good! You get lots of fun stories being in the middle of nowhere.
This area is by far the area I have knocked the most doors in. Our mission has been kind of been focusing on finding the "elect". It's been cool to see how the Lord blesses those who put in the effort. I have already seen a couple "fourth floor, last door" type miracles, which has been amazing!
In Brownsville we are teaching someone named Paul, who plans to get baptized later this month! He is a quiet guy, so I wasn't sure at first, but I am beginning to see his faith in action! It's kind of funny we have our lesson with him outside, and occasionally his dog Pancho will be there as well, and Pancho always makes sure to stick a stick in your face, and try and get you to throw it for him. We are also working with a couple other people who are progressing, it's awesome!
I have kinda of been focusing a little more on the Book of Mormon in my studies and in my interactions with others. It truly is such a blessing that we have that book written for our day as a guideline and shield. It truly helps increase your faith in Jesus Christ and come to know him more. I love the quote from President Nelson when he says "My dear brothers and sisters, I promise that as you prayerfully study the Book of Mormon every day, you will make better decisions—every day. I promise that as you ponder what you study, the windows of heaven will open, and you will receive answers to your own questions and direction for your own life. I promise that as you daily immerse yourself in the Book of Mormon, you can be immunized against the evils of the day"
I have learned how to trust in Lord over these past months, I have also learned how to have patience and work with those I don't get along with the best, but overall the mission is going great!
I love you all!

P.S I forgot to mention I sprained my ankle playing basketball, which is why I have a brace on my ankle in one of these photos😅
